  I'm still completely blindsided by what the proprietor of this motel told me on the phone 20 minutes ago when I called to inquire about vacancies and rates. She tells me that it's $50 a night, so I ask if there's a vacancy. She said "yeah, where are you from?" I tell her I'm in Douglas City. She says "no no no!" Confused, I ask "what? why?" "We don't rent to locals." I tell her I'm not a local, that my family and I just moved here from San Diego and are staying with a friend. That we just wanted to get away for a couple days. "Well we don't have anything available right now."
  
  Seriously lady? Thanks for lying to me, telling me you have nothing available RIGHT AFTER you tell me you do.
  
  I searched all of the motels near here and chose yours. I called you first because of your location and the good reviews. I'm glad as hell that my family and I didn't come hand over 4 - nights worth of stay to someone who lies to the people that keep you in business. Good Lord...
